Audit & Balance Sheet Integrity Lead - Remote

Overview

This interim role has been created to support Curve’s financial close and audit preparation for the year ending 2024. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are fully substantiated, complete, and accurate, with appropriate audit-ready documentation to support the year-end financial statements.

In Short

• Serve as the primary point of contact for audit and balance sheet-related queries.
• Prepare and document balance sheet reconciliations across all key accounts.
• Validate general ledger balances and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Identify gaps in existing controls and support the introduction of a governance framework.
• Review existing reconciliation practices and implement consistent processes.
• Partner with various departments to understand reconciliation drivers.
• Recommend improvements and explore automation opportunities.
• Investigate and resolve outstanding issues in balance sheet reconciliations.

Requirements

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum three years’ experience in financial control or audit preparation.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and audit processes.
• Proven experience preparing balance sheet files and audit support packs.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or other cloud-based ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
