Overview

The Conflicts Information Specialist supports the firm’s risk management need and the firm’s new business function by collecting necessary information to perform thorough and accurate conflict of interest checks on all proposed new representations and lateral attorney hiring.

In Short

  • Conducts corporate research using internet and other research tools.
  • Enters and updates data in the firm’s conflicts database.
  • Performs sanctions and other risk-related research.
  • Interacts with attorneys and secretaries regularly.
  • Drafts and distributes daily reports of proposed business.
  • Assists with maintenance of database and tracking of engagement letters.
  • Works independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to master new technology applications.
  • Basic knowledge of business ownership and corporate family structures.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree; training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct internet research.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Basic skill in operating standard office equipment.
  • Directly related experience in internet research preferred.
