Overview

The Director of Cybersecurity Operations & Advisory Services at the Arkansas Research and Education Optical Network (ARE-ON) is responsible for safeguarding infrastructure and providing security advisory services to member organizations in higher education and healthcare across Arkansas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years in information security roles.
• 3+ years in a security leadership position.
• Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) required.
• Knowledge of network security architecture and operations.
• Experience with security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to build relationships with member organizations.
• Project management skills are a plus.
• Experience in a Research and Education Network is preferred.
