Overview

The Vice President of Life Sciences is tasked with growing COTA’s business by driving revenue with new clients and expanding our footprint across the Life Science industry, specifically focusing on emerging and mid-sized biotechnology companies as well as medical diagnostic companies. The successful VP of LS is a highly strategic and consultative hunter with experience working in a fast-paced, customer focused, and value driven environment. They have a strong understanding of the Life Science and real world evidence industries. The VP of LS serves as an external champion engaging with key business prospects to sign net new business and plays a large role in driving COTA’s next phase of growth.

In Short

  • Drive new revenue generation in the Life Sciences sector.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process from lead generation to closure.
  • Produce and execute market-specific account plans.
  • Build relationships with key contacts in assigned accounts.
  • Champion COTA externally and promote the organization.
  • Coordinate and lead RFI/RFP responses.
  • Establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Bring innovative ideas to develop and close opportunities.
  • Represent the voice of the client in strategic discussions.
  • Help shape overall strategy alongside COTA’s executive team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of sales experience in Life Sciences.
  • Demonstrated sales track record of success.
  • Proven ability to problem solve and create solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the real world evidence space.
  • Strong business acumen and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to gain executive credibility and navigate organizational dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in selling complex technical solutions.
  • A hunter mentality with a drive to win deals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
