Special Procedure Technician - Remote

Overview

The Special Procedure Technician provides direct care to patients undergoing Heart and Vascular procedures, assisting physicians and ensuring quality patient and family-centered care.

In Short

• Provide pre, intra, and post-operative care for patients.
• Perform IV starts and monitor hemodynamics.
• Operate medical equipment and document procedures.
• Manage vascular access sites and educate patients/families.
• Work under general supervision in a healthcare setting.
• Requires certification in BLS and ACLS.
• 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR required.
• Accredited radiography or cardiovascular technology program completion necessary.
• Full-time position with day shifts and on-call weekends.
• Located at Royal Oak Hospital.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited radiography program or cardiovascular technologist program.
• Clinical experience through graduation from an accredited program.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification within a specified time frame.
• Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification preferred.
• Active RT status required upon hire.
• Experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR is mandatory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
