Overview

The Medical Technologist Lead will oversee laboratory operations in Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood Bank departments, ensuring quality control and staff training while acting as a team leader in the absence of the manager.

In Short

  • Ensure compliance with CAP/CLIA requirements.
  • Act as a technical resource for laboratory procedures.
  • Work within an accredited laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree with specific coursework in biology and chemistry.
  • Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory program or equivalent training.
  • Minimum of 2 years direct technical experience in a licensed laboratory.
  • Certification in medical technology preferred (ASCP or AMT).
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and control procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments and technical procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
