Overview

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and open-minded Senior Software Developer JavaEE - Policy Management for our client in the insurance industry in Lucerne.

In Short

• Development and optimization of enterprise applications based on JavaEE (EJB, CDI, JPA, JTA)
• Analysis of existing applications and participation in continuous improvement (refactoring)
• Conducting code reviews, ensuring best practices and adherence to high-quality standards
• Database queries using SQL and support for optimizations
• Participation in the software lifecycle: implementation, testing, deployment
• Ensuring clean code and improving software quality

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a software developer in JavaEE, ideally in the insurance industry
• Very good knowledge of JavaEE (especially EJB, CDI, JPA, JTA)
• Experience with SQL and optimization of database queries
• Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD) and software engineering practices like Clean Code
• Knowledge in software development throughout the entire lifecycle (implementation, testing, deployment)
• Practical experience in refactoring legacy business applications and dealing with technical debt
• Open to on-call duty
• Independent and structured working style
• Fluent in German
