Operational Risk Manager / Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and open-minded Operational Risk Manager / Specialist for our client in the insurance industry in Zurich.

In Short

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal policies and governance documents.
• Design and implement non-financial risk management processes.
• Support the definition and update of Group risk appetite and tolerance statements.
• Coordinate and execute risk assessments and follow up on mitigation actions.
• Review control deficiencies and remediation measures.
• Conduct deep-dive reviews of risk topics and support crisis management.
• Engage with Group functions to enhance risk management practices.
• Provide guidance and training on non-financial risk topics.
• Contribute to ORSA-related work and strategic risk assessments.
• Support the preparation of risk reports and inputs for the Group Recovery Plan.

Requirements

• University degree in Risk Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Solid experience in internal controls, risk management, compliance, and audit in the insurance sector.
• Familiarity with Third-Party Risk, Data Management, or Business Resilience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk management principles and methodologies.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented mindset.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written.
