Java DevOps Engineer - Senior - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and open-minded Java DevOps Engineer - Senior for our client in the logistics sector in Bern.

In Short

• Work in an agile DevOps team to develop innovative solutions using Java and Python.
• Contribute to the development of the Contact Center as a central information platform.
• Design Java or Python components for deployment in AKS or EKS.
• Integrate components via REST APIs and Kafka.
• Develop additional services in Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Enhance quality management efficiency through test automation.
• Work flexibly in a broad environment of scripting and programming languages.
• Manage requirements, feasibility checks, and documentation as a DevOps Engineer.
• Support communication between business and IT departments.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Java development and familiarity with Python.
• Proficient in Azure Cloud and able to expand team knowledge.
• Experience with AWS Cloud, Grafana, GitHub, SQL Server, and Postgres is a plus.
• Familiar with functional and non-functional requirement gathering and Requirement Engineering.
• Basic understanding of modern analytics and BI environments.
• Experience with CRM systems is an additional advantage.
• Strong understanding of customer needs, communication skills, and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent in German and English (minimum B1).
