Overview

CGS is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join a fast-moving, extremely active in-house government legal team. This position is a key role related to supporting various aspects of the company's litigation portfolio including eDiscovery activities, workflow management, and attorney support.

In Short

  • Prepare complex legal documents.
  • Review incoming documents and materials.
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation.
  • Verify legal citations and statutory references.
  • Manage electronic case files and discovery databases.
  • Coordinate with victim/witness specialists.
  • Proficiently use tools like Adobe Acrobat for document management.
  • Maintain case management systems and calendars.
  • Comply with local court rules.
  • Contribute to government innovation through legal support.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending ABA-accredited law school.
  • At least two years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of federal and state court systems.
  • Hands-on familiarity with legal research tools like LEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Experience with eDiscovery procedures and resources.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with computer applications including databases and spreadsheets.
