Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

CGS is seeking an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to participate in architecture discussions, system reviews, design planning, and technology roadmap planning for current and future desktop integration efforts.

In Short

• Full-Time position in the Information Technology department.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for Desktop OS Images.
• Engineer solutions for large-scale software deployment.
• Develop and implement software distribution packages.
• Strong familiarity with scripting languages like Powershell and VB script.
• Implement server OS deployment methodologies.
• Support OS patching infrastructure.
• Analyze and recommend hardware for desktops and laptops.
• Perform security-related tasks including documentation and patch management.
• Experience with Windows OS engineering and application security controls.

Requirements

• Experience integrating and upgrading desktops from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office engineering.
• Knowledge of anti-virus applications integration.
• Experience with VPN/Remote access systems.
• Good writing skills.
• VB and/or VBA coding experience is a plus.
• VDI/Citrix experience is a plus.
• Understanding of PKI and VMWare.
• Experience with litigating software like Ipro and Concordance.
