Overview

As a Full-Stack Engineer at Commence, you will build and maintain scalable web applications that power data and workflow solutions across the healthcare ecosystem. This role will support our growing product and platform teams by delivering secure, performant, and user-friendly features spanning the backend and frontend.

In Short

  • Develop and maintain scalable web applications using modern technologies including .NET, React, Bootstrap, Python, PHP (Laravel), and C#.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs to enable seamless interaction between frontend and backend systems.
  • Create reusable components and frameworks to drive consistency and efficiency.
  • Apply secure coding practices in compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and other relevant healthcare standards.
  • Optimize application performance to ensure high speed, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold high-quality engineering standards.
  • Enhance and maintain existing systems by identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in full-stack development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; Associate’s degree with proven software development experience also considered.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development.
  • Proficiency in Python, PHP (Laravel), .NET, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, and SQL.
  • Practical experience with AWS services and cloud-based architectures.
  • Strong adherence to development best practices, including unit testing, static code analysis, and secure coding standards.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, and Bitbucket.
  • Expertise in web application development, including RESTful APIs, web services, and database integration.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and implementation.
  • Experience with relational database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and/or MySQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in collaborative teams.
  • Proven success working in agile environments alongside cross-functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
