In Short

• This is a new, hands-on role designed to bridge a critical gap between mechanical engineering domain expertise and how our ML-powered evaluation tools operate.
• You’ll be the go-to Mechanical Engineer helping the team validate and improve AutoReview.
• Your analysis will directly shape how CoLab uses LLMs and machine learning to automate design feedback.
• You’ll run hundreds of design files through AutoReview and interpret the results.
• You’re a mechanical engineer with strong instincts around design quality and lifecycle workflows.
• You can clearly articulate model outputs from a mechanical design perspective.
• Experience with large volumes of data is necessary.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering or LLM workflows is a nice-to-have.

Requirements

• 3-6 years in mechanical engineering with recent hands-on experience.
• Deep understanding design review workflows.
• Experience working with or for a design firm.
• Ability to interpret and explain model outputs using industry standards.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Direct experience bringing components to production.
• Experience designing in a primary CAD tool.
