Join Coinbase as an Assistant Controller to help build the accounting backbone for a fast-scaling Prime Financing and Capital Markets business at the forefront of digital assets.

In Short

• Own the end-to-end accounting architecture for Prime Financing and Capital Markets.
• Be the accounting voice at the product table, partnering with Product, Risk, and Legal.
• Automate processes using blockchain data and external tools.
• Lead and mentor an accounting team.
• Translate complex crypto activity into accurate accounting.
• Ensure accurate recognition and reporting across key financial flows.
• Raise the bar on close quality through journal entries and reconciliations.
• Design SOX-compliant internal controls tailored to crypto.
• Conduct P&L and balance sheet analysis, and partner through audits.
• Craft regulatory filings and disclosures for Prime Financing and Capital Markets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in financial institutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized.
• Experience with SOX compliance.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Google Suite.
