Overview

The Credit Specialist at Clinical Health Network for Transformation (CHN) is responsible for managing and resolving credit balances on patient accounts, ensuring compliance with payor requirements, and contributing to the organization's mission of health equity.

In Short

  • Research and analyze credit balances on patient accounts.
  • Investigate overpayments and determine resolution steps.
  • Prepare refund requests and manage follow-ups with payors.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in EPIC.
  • Contribute to workflow improvements for credit balance management.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of patient accounts.
  • Maintain compliance with credit balance review processes.
  • Support daily operations through clerical activities.
  • Demonstrate commitment to health equity and racial equity practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in account receivable experience.
  • Strong understanding of benefits coordination and payer policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Commitment to advancing racial equity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with medical billing and coding preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
