Overview

The Performance Engineer will be part of the Cloud Performance Engineering team at ClickHouse, focusing on building and optimizing the ClickHouse Cloud Platform to enhance performance and scalability.

• Benchmark system performance and conduct database performance analysis.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development focusing on scalable distributed systems.
• Experience in Go, C/C++, Java, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of concurrency and multithreading in distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure services, especially Kubernetes.
• Ability to lead large technical projects in collaboration with teams.
• Expertise in public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Passion for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance.
• High level of responsibility and ownership.
