Overview

This position is part of the Site Reliability Engineering team at ClickHouse, focusing on improving the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of ClickHouse's core offerings.

In Short

Continuously improve the reliability and performance of ClickHouse core.
Create metrics and alerts for proactive problem identification.
Investigate common customer issues and provide solutions.
Enhance incident response processes and post-mortem analyses.
Drive Chaos initiatives across engineering teams.
Manage on-call processes for performance and reliability issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering or similar roles.
Experience with ClickHouse or other SQL databases in production.
Understanding of distributed database internals.
Scripting experience with Shell or Python.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
Excellent communication skills.
