Senior Backend Engineer, Risk/Collections - Remote

In Short

• Lead backend development initiatives within the Risk/Collections team.
• Shape technical direction and foster engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure performance and scalability.
• Write scalable, testable code with unit and integration testing.
• Maintain and evolve microservices within a modern architecture.
• Participate in cross-team problem-solving and architectural discussions.
• Produce clear documentation and conduct code reviews.
• Integrate with internal and external systems via REST and SOAP APIs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java (minimum version 8; ideally version 17) and Spring Boot 3.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems using Kafka.
• Experience integrating with third-party providers via REST and SOAP APIs.
• Proficiency in Docker, Git, Github, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Deep knowledge of software design principles and testing strategies.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
• Advanced English proficiency for leading technical discussions.
