Overview

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist with licensing applications and provide high-volume customer service.

In Short

  • Process applications for various licensing categories.
  • Perform clerical work including data processing and record maintenance.
  • Provide customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone.
  • Assist applicants with outreach to other city agencies.
  • Check records for accuracy and conformity with policies.
  • Accept and process payments while performing mathematical computations.
  • Answer calls, emails, and written correspondence.
  • Attend seminars, meetings, and trainings as required.
  • Follow all division and agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform related licensing tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of satisfactory clerical experience.
  • Keyboard familiarity with a typing speed of at least 100 keystrokes per minute.
