Overview

The Assistant Environmental Engineer will support sustainability initiatives and environmental management for municipal parking facilities in New York City.

In Short

  • Manage chemical inventory and hazardous materials.
  • Oversee environmental maintenance in parking fields.
  • Assist with EV charging infrastructure design and installation.
  • Review plans and documents for sustainability projects.
  • Prepare technical specifications and estimates for projects.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders for project execution.
  • Conduct facility inspections and performance evaluations.
  • Support environmental improvement projects and compliance work.
  • Review contracts for compliance.
  • May require a valid driver's license in New York.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in relevant engineering field.
  • One year of full-time experience in environmental engineering.
  • Master's degree can substitute for one year of experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety codes.
  • Experience with project management and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to conduct field assessments and research.
  • Driver's license preferred.
