Overview

The San Francisco City Attorney’s Office is looking for a qualified and motivated legal secretary to join its Dependency & Mental Health Team.

In Short

  • Temporary Provisional (TPV) position limited to no more than 3 years.
  • Compensation range of $92,508 - $112,424.
  • Hybrid remote work schedule available (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
  • Responsibilities include providing secretarial and clerical support in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Must ensure compliance with court orders and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Requires communication with agency clients and gathering necessary court reports/documents.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal secretary required.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal terminology is desired.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a legal secretary.
  • Ability to type 55 net WPM.
  • Knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Adobe Professional and Microsoft Teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
