Senior Big Data Developer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Big Data Developer is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and applications, contributing to applications systems analysis and programming activities in coordination with the Technology team.

In Short

• Participate in the establishment and implementation of application systems.
• Develop and optimize scalable data pipelines.
• Work closely with data engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct feasibility studies and IT planning.
• Monitor and control all phases of the development process.
• Provide user and operational support on applications.
• Recommend and develop security measures post-implementation.
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and team members.
• Manage and implement successful projects.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
• Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Scala, Python, SQL).
• Experience with data storage solutions (HDFS, HBase, Amazon S3).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
