Back End Java Developer - Remote

Overview

The Back End Java Developer is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.

In Short

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and IT planning.
• Monitor and control all phases of the development process.
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems.
• Recommend and develop security measures post-implementation.
• Consult with users/clients on issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
• Define operating standards and processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders.
• Assess risk when making business decisions.
• 5-8 years of application development experience required.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and TDD is essential.

Requirements

• Experience with Asynchronous Event-driven microservices and Kafka.
• Familiarity with No SQL databases like MongoDB and Kubernetes.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Ability to manage and implement successful projects.
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Angular is a nice to have.
