Server Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Server Engineer who can start ASAP to oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server infrastructure for a Japanese company.

In Short

• Full-time position with a salary range of $68K to $85K.
• Hybrid working model: 2 days onsite in Manhattan, NY, and 3 days remote.
• Working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a lunch break.
• Responsibilities include server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Implement and manage security protocols for data integrity.
• Resolve server issues and support IT staff and end-users.
• Develop backup and recovery plans to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and tune server performance.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies.
• Mentor and train new team members as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in server administration and management.
• Certifications like MCSE, CompTIA Server+, or RHCE are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, VMware, Active Directory, and PowerShell.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
• Flexible mindset for adapting to changes.
• Japanese language skills are preferable.
• Experience with a Japanese company is a plus.
