Network Tools and Automation Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Network Tools and Automation Engineer will play a critical role in the planning, design and execution of network automation platforms and tools in support of network transformation strategy.

In Short

• Assist in the development and execution of the end-to-end network automation framework.
• Identify new capabilities that can bring network operational efficiencies.
• Create documentation for enabling automation into the environment.
• Work closely with internal customers to alleviate their problems.
• Lead network monitoring tool upgrades and changes in production.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Define and document best practices and support procedures.
• Mentor team members on automation and tools processes.
• Drive operational excellence projects for network quality improvements.
• Participate in peer review processes for network automation projects.

Requirements

• Experience with large-scale network automation solutions.
• Experience with automation of network devices using Ansible and Python.
• Strong knowledge in fault monitoring and performance management.
• Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Strong project management and time management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical or Engineering or Computer Science.
• 10+ years of experience supporting computer networks.
• 3+ years of experience with network automation tools.
• Certification and/or training with vendor-neutral or vendor-specific focus.
• Experience with OpenShift and Frontend Development is a plus.
