Midlevel Back-End Developer (Node.js) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our engineering team for a digital transformation project. You will play a key role in developing and implementing robust, scalable backend services for a modern portal.

In Short

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js framework
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints
• Build services architecture following best practices for distributed systems
• Develop secure authentication and authorization systems
• Create integration APIs for Microsoft Entra ID SSO
• Implement business logic for workflows and claims processing
• Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests
• Follow security best practices including data encryption
• Collaborate with frontend developers on API contracts
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards

Requirements

• Experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with Express.js or similar frameworks
• Proficient in RESTful API design and development
• Experience with PostgreSQL including complex queries
• Knowledge of authentication protocols and security best practices
• Proficient with Git version control
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
