Finance Manager - Remote

Overview

The Finance Manager supports the President and CEO in overseeing the financial health of the Children’s Home of Jefferson County (CHJC). This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, preparing financial reports, supporting budget development, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The Finance Manager plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

In Short

• Assist in the preparation and management of the agency’s annual budget.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Support cash flow management and forecasting.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in ROI analysis for programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Assist with audit preparation and coordination.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support grant tracking, reporting, and compliance.
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure financial accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting or financial management experience.
• Nonprofit experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
