Intern (European Competition practice) - Remote

Overview

This paid internship mirrors our full-time analyst role. Interns work closely with senior staff on projects across a variety of industries, and will give Interns a greater understanding of what it is like to work as an economist at CRA.

In Short

• Identify potential issues and conduct analyses that can be used to illustrate economic arguments.
• Assemble compelling evidence from data and research that support our expert opinions and business recommendations.
• Program, build models and/or perform regression analyses in statistical analysis programs (such as Stata, Python, R).
• Assist in the development and presentation of client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers.
• Communicate complicated economic concepts and arguments to internal teams.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD/DPhil candidates studying economics with a strong foundation in microeconomics.
• Fluency in English; additional fluency in French and/or German desirable.
• High degree of numeracy and the ability to manipulate data are essential.
• Some research experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
• Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
• Clear and demonstrated interest in consulting.
