Overview

The Sales Engineer will assess a prospect’s technical requirements and apply extensive knowledge of Chainguard products to illustrate how a deal will satisfy the client’s unmet needs. This role involves cultivating relationships with decision-makers and negotiating the competing needs of multiple stakeholders.

In Short

  • Partner with Strategic Sales Reps and Sales Engineering leadership.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for strategic account customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
  • Design customized solutions for Strategic customer needs.
  • Develop technical proposals and implementation plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Strategic customers.
  • Provide ongoing technical support during and after the sales process.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Provide feedback to product management on customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical sales collateral.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in Sales Engineering.
  • Experience with MEDDPICC and Command of the Message frameworks.
  • Knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Experience in cloud security or container security.
  • Startup experience preferred.
  • Ability to build credibility with customers.
  • Strong team player committed to mentoring peers.
