Risk Advisory - Consultant - Remote

Overview

As a member of CFGI’s rapidly growing Risk Advisory team, you will support CFGI client teams responsible for performing various types of project engagements including SOX compliance reviews, internal audits, and operational reviews of business processes / systems.

In Short

• Contribute to risk-based internal audit assignments and projects.
• Develop business process flowcharts using Visio or equivalent tools.
• Create control narratives and risk and control matrices.
• Interact with process/control owners to understand business processes and key controls.
• Create test plans and execute testing procedures.
• Perform control design evaluations and testing of key controls.
• Document testing results through high-quality work papers.
• Identify root causes of issues and summarize testing results.
• Draft formal reports for review and issuance to clients.
• Propose recommendations for process and control improvement.

Requirements

• Certified CPA, CIA or other standard auditing certification.
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting and/or internal audit.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of SOX, COSO, SOC 1, and SOC 2.
• Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Self-motivated, ethical, and dependable.
• Strong project management skills.
• High energy with a commitment to quality client service.
• Strong performance within a team dynamic.
