Senior Tax Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for both tax-related and GAAP accounting related activities, working closely with a 3rd party tax partner to ensure compliance with all tax regulations.

• Key member of the monthly and year-end accounting close.
• Assist 3rd party in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Evaluate and respond to tax requests from regulatory agencies.
• Stay current on tax law changes and conduct research.
• Work with 3rd party and auditors in preparation of tax provision.
• Review revenue and product mixes for tax compliance.
• Assist in reviewing and updating internal tax processes.
• Ensure NetSuite calculates and applies sales tax appropriately.
• Perform tax research and support tax audits.
• Support GAAP audit and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in tax accounting and GAAP.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency in using accounting software, preferably NetSuite.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and external partners.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
