Overview

The Meta Special Projects Lead will develop and oversee high-impact events to strengthen the effective altruism community.

In Short

• Lead the development and execution of the Meta Special Projects program.
• Set strategic vision and goals for community events.
• Manage project timelines and workflows for multiple events.
• Build relationships with community leaders and donors.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the team.
• Oversee program budget and funding proposals.
• Implement evaluation processes to measure event outcomes.
• Foster a high-performance culture within the team.
• Adapt strategies based on community feedback.
• Travel 4-6 times a year for events.

Requirements

• Strategic mindset with vision-setting capabilities.
• Effective project management skills.
• Familiarity with the effective altruism community.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Alignment with effective altruism principles.
• Experience in event design and execution (preferred).
• Background in complex project planning (preferred).
• Experience in team leadership and mentoring (preferred).
• Experience with fundraising (preferred).
