Overview

The Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA) is dedicated to building a global community focused on solving pressing problems. We are seeking a Lead / Head of AI Special Events to develop impactful events that connect decision-makers and researchers to address AI risks.

In Short

  • Develop and oversee AI-focused events portfolio
  • Shape strategic vision for AI events
  • Build relationships with stakeholders in the AI space
  • Lead and mentor a talented team
  • Ensure events align with program objectives
  • Manage program budget and funding proposals
  • Evaluate and improve program design
  • Facilitate collaborations and partnerships
  • Travel 4-6 times a year
  • Work in time zones between US Pacific Time and CET

Requirements

  • Strategic vision and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of the AI risk landscape
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities
  • Motivated by effective altruism principles
  • Experience in event design and execution (preferred)
  • Strong network in the AI safety community (preferred)
  • Background in strategic planning for complex projects (preferred)
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team (preferred)
