U.S. Climate Policy Intern - Remote

Overview

The U.S. Climate Policy Intern will deepen their knowledge of federal and state climate and energy policy through skill development and training, while contributing to C2ES's mission of promoting a low-carbon economy.

In Short

• Monitor and report on U.S. domestic climate policy developments.
• Research and analyze state and federal climate policies.
• Develop written materials including blog posts and policy briefs.
• Attend relevant events in Washington and inform the team.
• Support stakeholder engagement with Congress and federal agencies.
• Conduct briefings on U.S. climate policy developments.
• Work part-time up to 15 hours per week or full-time up to 37.5 hours.
• Hourly wage of $20.00.
• Transportation stipend for office interns.
• Preference given to local applicants.

Requirements

• Enrolled in or completed a degree in government, economics, or related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Interdisciplinary understanding of climate change.
• Interest in Capitol Hill and non-governmental stakeholders.
• Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
• Ability to process complex information quickly.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and contribute at all levels.
