Senior Combat Designer - Remote

Overview

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Combat Designer to help design and implement combat experiences with AI for Project Sirius, an original video game that combines beloved aspects of The Witcher with a multiplayer and immersive gaming experience.

In Short

• Design and implement combat systems including targeting, combat indicators, and enemy behavior.
• Submit ideas for various enemy types and manage their balancing.
• Calibrate combat experience at a detailed level, including animations and damage volumes.
• Implement combat behavior for different character types using behavior trees and animation blueprints.
• Collaborate with character art, animation, VFX, and audio teams to deliver high-quality characters.
• Create documentation for concepts and work with production to ensure feasibility.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the video game industry.
• Experience delivering at least one game as a combat designer.
• Strong understanding of AI systems.
• Knowledge of encounter design and ambient AI behaviors.
• Experience in developing third-person action games.
• Curiosity, kindness, and a positive, professional attitude.
