Overview

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Lead PCG/Tools Engineer to join our office in Boston to work on Project Orion, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. In this role, you will lead the Orion Team responsible for developing procedural tools to enable designers and artists to deliver on the vision of the game.

In Short

  • Lead and manage the Orion team developing procedural tools.
  • Work closely with designers and artists to align on project expectations.
  • Guide the team in building and enhancing PCG tools.
  • Ensure efficient tooling pipeline across the board.
  • Research emerging trends in PCG and tools development.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration for effective tool contribution.
  • Write high-quality, optimized code aligned with project goals.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of programming experience in the games industry.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  • Experience with current-gen console hardware.
  • Understanding of geometric algorithms and data structures.
  • Creative and strategic thinking to overcome technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Management experience.
  • Tool Development experience.
  • Unreal experience with PCG experience or equivalent.
