Remote Paralegal I

Overview

The Paralegal I will assist the Legal Department with various processes and contested matters to facilitate appropriate and timely actions.

In Short

• Set-up and maintain matters in case management system.
• Monitor daily bot processes and communicate with IT.
• Review legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Handle document subpoenas and gather responsive records.
• Secure key personnel for various legal events.
• Provide legal support to attorneys in the department.
• Maintain calendar of events and key deadlines.
• Conduct factual research from various resources.
• Assist with case settlement preparations.
• Prepare check requests and vendor forms.

Requirements

• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Knowledge of mortgage servicing, lending, and litigation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience working with varying seniority levels.
• Ability to understand complex problems and collaborate.
• Ability to track and record time accurately.
• Preference for paralegal certification or degree.
• Two or more years of paralegal experience.
