Senior Food Buyer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Food Buyer is responsible for the profitable procurement and timely delivery of products for assigned lines, working closely with the Sr. Director of Purchasing and Senior Buyers to achieve company goals.

• Order products to meet forecasted demand.
• Obtain best possible product costs, quality, and service.
• Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Strive to meet inventory and turn goals.
• Interface with various departments and maintain vendor relationships.
• Review acquisition costs for lowest pricing.
• Assess inventory and market conditions for order forecasting.
• Conduct post-promotional reviews and analysis.
• Resolve inventory issues at store level.
• Manage Accounts Payable variance processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Purchasing or Vendor Management experience.
• Marketing/Logistics experience preferred.
• Understanding of grocery procurement and inventory management.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Ability to concentrate amidst interruptions.
