People Operations Intern - Remote

Overview

As a People Operations Intern at Careem, you will support the daily operations and key initiatives of the People team, contributing to a seamless employee experience and gaining foundational HR knowledge.

In Short

• Coordinate onboarding activities including documentation and induction sessions.
• Process employment contracts and ensure compliance with local employment regulations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of colleague data and lifecycle changes.
• Support general HR admin tasks such as document filing and obtaining signatures.
• Maintain digital HR files, ensuring records are up-to-date and organized.
• Respond to colleague queries in alignment with People policies.
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate on ad hoc projects across broader People verticals.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or a recent graduate in Human Resources or related field.
• Must be a UAE University student who can provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• Hold a valid student or dependent visa with at least 6 months validity.
• Full professional proficiency in English; Arabic is a strong plus.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn HR systems.
