Technical Due Diligence Consultant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking experienced contractors to support technical due diligence for carbon projects globally, providing expertise related to carbon projects and culminating in written deliverables that assess project risks and opportunities.

• Conduct technical due diligence for carbon projects.
• Analyze risks and assess regulatory and economic considerations.
• Gather and synthesize relevant data and industry trends.
• Provide subject matter expertise on project components.
• Engage with project teams and stakeholders.
• Participate in site visits as necessary.
• Deliver comprehensive written reports and recommendations.
• Work independently in a project-based environment.
• Prior experience with complex, multi-stakeholder projects is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

Requirements

• Experience in technical due diligence, impact assessments, or feasibility studies.
• Expertise in biomass sourcing, afforestation, agroforestry, and improved forest management.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of country-specific policies related to land tenure and carbon rights is a plus.
