In Short

• Define, own and execute Canvas’s data engineering and analytics strategy.
• Act as both a hands-on contributor and a team leader.
• Establish and manage a centralized data platform.
• Partner with stakeholders from various business functions.
• Lead the adoption of modern tooling for data ingestion and orchestration.
• Create processes to improve data consistency and reliability.
• Enable a self-service analytics culture.
• Manage roadmaps, priorities, and SLAs.
• Help establish efficient machine learning data pipelines.
• Be part of the company’s Engineering Leadership Team.

Requirements

• Proven experience of building and leading Data teams.
• Strong technical background in data engineering and analytics.
• Hands-on expertise with modern data engineering and analytics tech stack.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python.
• Solid understanding of software engineering practices.
• Knowledge and experience with product and marketing analytics.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
