In Short

• Act as the escalation point for security & privacy incidents across Canva's systems.
• Respond to security events from detection through to resolution.
• Monitor Canva’s internal and production systems for possible attacks.
• Run threat detection exercises and search for anomalous behavior.
• Develop tools for security incident alerting and response.
• Maintain incident response documentation and participate in reviews.
• Participate in the on-call roster for security incident response.
• Promote a security mindset and establish best practices.
• Identify trends and emerging threats impacting the business.
• Contribute to projects enhancing security positioning.

Requirements

• Curious detective mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience in Security - Engineering, Operations, Incident Response.
• Knowledge of web protocols, networks, and common attacks.
• Exposure to cloud services, ideally AWS or GCP.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
