Overview

This is an opportunity for a Linux Engineer/Administrator with a passion for Linux and Customer Success to build a career with Canonical and support the technical needs of customers leveraging Ubuntu and open source products.

In Short

  • Deliver outstanding technical support experience on Desktop and Server technical stack.
  • Provide technical expertise and excellent communication.
  • Own and manage support cases from qualification to resolution.
  • Participate in training sessions and team gatherings.
  • Work from a remote home office.
  • Ensure cases are handled according to Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Contribute to knowledge base and maintain existing articles.
  • Prioritize work effectively to manage tasks.
  • Maintain regular communication with the team.
  • Participate in weekend working rotation.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or equivalent degree in a technical field.
  • Experience with system performance troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Linux troubleshooting and server administration.
  • Programming fundamentals in any language (bash, python, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel for internal events.
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments is a plus.
