Senior Protocol Engineer (Rollups) - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for an incredible software engineer to help us build the future of blockchain scalability. You will work on the systems that deploy and upgrade our core supported rollup frameworks - Arbitrum, OP Stack, and ZKsync – as well as make them work with emerging technologies from shared sequencers to alternative DA layers.

In Short

• Help architect the blockchain nodes that comprise the backbone of our software offering.
• Develop improvements to rollup stacks like OP, zksync, and Arbitrum Orbit.
• Create systems that ensure zero-downtime network upgrades of high TPS chains.
• Write efficient and secure EVM smart contracts in Solidity.
• Drive the technical direction and establish roadmaps.
• 4+ years of engineering experience, including EVM-related protocols.
• Deep knowledge of Go, Rust or similar languages.
• Experience developing and deploying distributed systems.
• Love writing fast, well-optimized, well-tested, clean code.
• Great at solving complex design, latency, or performance problems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of engineering experience, including at least 1 year of experience with EVM-related protocols.
• Deep knowledge of Go, Rust or similar languages.
• Experience building Ethereum “dapps” with Solidity or Yul.
• Experience developing and deploying distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills in high-throughput production systems.
• Performance optimization skills.
