Facility Technician - Remote

Overview

The Facility Technician is responsible for assisting with the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings and maintenance equipment.

In Short

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of various building systems.
• Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, and other devices.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment.
• Replace and repair building finishes and perform painting.
• Inspect buildings and grounds for maintenance needs.
• Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems.
• Respond to emergency situations and customer service requests.
• Comply with safety training and dress code.
• Possess knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance.
• May require shift work and on-call duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• Technical training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
• Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies.
• Competent knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for maintenance.
• Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
• Strong communication skills for customer service.
