Lead Software Developer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Lead Software Developer to manage a team of developers while contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality applications.

In Short

• Directly manage a team of remote developers.
• Assign, prioritize, and reallocate developer workloads across multiple projects.
• Coordinate closely with other development leads and product owners.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
• Serve as a point of escalation for technical challenges.
• Collaborate to enhance existing applications and architect new solutions.
• Balance hands-on coding responsibilities with team leadership.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code following best practices.
• Oversee code reviews for consistency and maintainability.
• Monitor project progress and adjust priorities as needed.

Requirements

• BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in an object-oriented language.
• Previous experience managing developers.
• Proficiency with Java and experience with Kotlin.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React preferred).
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Expertise with relational databases (MySQL/Aurora preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of Git.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
