Overview

As a Banker at Busey, you will strengthen customer relationships by engaging in sales conversations and recommending products and services designed to support the customer's financial wellbeing.

In Short

• Identify customers’ financial needs and sell appropriate products and services.
• Service customer’s accounts and proactively communicate to ensure financial needs are met.
• Make sales referrals to meet customers’ financial needs.
• Assist with Teller duties as needed.
• Requires strong sales and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of bank compliance and operational policies.
• Ability to accurately count money and explain products to customers.
• Requires a High School diploma and previous banking/sales experience.
• Must maintain current registration with NMLS if lending.
• Physical requirements include standing for extended periods and lifting 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of bank products and basic math functions.
• Ability to perform duties under time pressures.
• Previous banking and/or sales experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• High School diploma required.
• Active NMLS registration required for lending.
• Ability to learn banking systems and office equipment.
• Physical capability to meet job demands.
