Junior Financial Controller - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Junior Financial Controller to join our growing team in Portugal. This role will support our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities and help drive financial insights that align with our company's objectives.

In Short

• Support FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Prepare financial reports, track KPIs, and conduct variance analysis.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly closings, including expense reviews, allocations, and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with company objectives and conduct various departmental ad hoc analyses.
• Own financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency while proactively identifying insights and improvement opportunities.
• Engage in critical thinking, ready to challenge assumptions and drive process improvements in financial planning, reporting, and systems to enhance scalability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in a finance-related role.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Experience with BI tools (such as Power BI and Power Query) is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure while managing and analyzing large volumes of data accurately.
