Offensive Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

As an Offensive Security Engineer at Brightspeed, you will be responsible for assessing the security of computer systems and assisting the Security Operations Center (SOC) in managing critical incidents.

In Short

• Conduct formal testing of computer systems and security controls.
• Develop advanced reports for leadership.
• Perform security audits and cyberattack simulations.
• Generate tools for breaking into security systems.
• Detect and correct system weaknesses.
• Provide recommendations based on assessments.
• Implement solutions to enhance data security.
• Support the SOC during 24x7 on-call.
• Mentor newer Analysts and Engineers.
• Collaborate on security research and intelligence gathering.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of SOC/Penetration Testing experience.
• 5+ years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience managing cases/incidents.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of technical systems and terminology.
• Ability to identify and exploit vulnerabilities.
• Advanced communication skills.
