In Short

• Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) are responsible for keeping all internal-facing services and platforms running smoothly.
• SREs blend sensible system administrators and software engineers who apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation.
• Our team helps to improve automation, infrastructure reliability, and empowers Braze’s other engineering teams.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to architect products and debug reliability issues.
• Create Infrastructure as code using Chef, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Manage incidents and be on a PagerDuty rotation.
• 3+ years of experience as a Software, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Ruby and/or Go preferred.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and similar technologies.
• Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and expectations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Software, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Strong understanding of systems, interfaces, boundaries, and failure modes.
• Ability to collaborate, document, and deliver quickly.
• Experience with Linux and Unix Shell.
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, Postgres, or similar data technologies.
